The most versatile 29" mountain e-bike to date with the unique innovative Dyname 4.0 drive system developed in-house at Rocky Mountain.

Go to places uncharted, ride longer and faster. The Rocky Mountain Instinct Powerplay offers a breathtaking 108 Nm of torque and a 720 Wh battery. These are the best parameters in the segment.

Because Rocky Mountain decided to create their own drive system, they didn't have to subordinate the bike design to any competitor's solution. They designed an uncompromising e-bike and tailored the drive system to suit the riders. Years of development have produced the unparalleled power and smoothness of the Dyname 4.0 drive system, which is also exceptionally compact and offers unprecedentedly fast charging.

Important frame components are where they need to be for the optimal functioning of the entire bike; not where this drive system would force them to be. That's why the Instinct Powerplay retains uncompromising handling characteristics with tuned suspension kinematics and a RIDE-4 system that allows you to easily fine-tune the geometry and suspension using ordinary Allen wrenches.

Smoothlink suspension is efficient when pedaling, yet retains compliance and comfort. Because Rocky Mountain has carefully tuned each of the many suspension parameters, their bikes provide a completely unique riding experience.

Mid-Drive Slider

The Rocky Mountain Powerplay e-bikes use a slider in the middle of the drive to control the strength of the chain and direct it to the drive pinion. This is a material that should be kept clean and should be inspected and replaced as needed. It is recommended by the manufacturer that the Slider be replaced if the grooves in it are deeper than 4 mm.

Keep the chain clean and lubricated to extend the life of the slider.
